Marriage is a compromise at best. However, when you introduce major differences into a marriage such as race, religion or nationality, there are additional problems you may face. Many couples only think about the love they feel for one another until confronted with some of the problems of mixed marriages
HISTORY
1. Mixed marriages have taken place since the beginning of time. As people explored and traveled, men would fall in love with local women and either stay or take the women back home with them. Marriages of mixed religions, races or cultures have traditionally met with resistance by either party's family or friends, or by society in general.
Interracial marriages were illegal in the United States in some states until 1967. Couples were prosecuted and sentenced to jail for marrying other races, as noted in the infamous court case Loving vs. the State of Virginia. This couple consisted of a white man and a black woman who were forced to leave their Virginia home or go to jail. They left until they won their case in the Supreme Court.

I am sociology anthropology students learn about the difference about mixed marriage in America...
if mixed marriage is prohibited if black people want to marry with white people....
but now the changes have been enacted ...no more skin problems become obstacles to mixed married

i agree with you rooyahazma.now there are no different between white and black people.Abaut akma opinion i agree with her to which is mixed marriage can increase nationality..so this problem can be effect to cauntry..

yes this big problem but now have more cauntry allow mixed marriage such as white and black and other..
the culture not reason why they can not married..mixed marriage can be close each race,nation and other..now we have any race such as china,india,iban,khadazan so relationship very important..mixed marriage also important when we want protection country.

skin color is no longer a problem to mixed marriage. many white people currently married black. and the most important black people are married to Asian women ... often occurs at the University...=)

Asalamualaikum..skin not important for me..mOst important is honest in mariage.Though absolute generalizations about marriage are foolish, summarizing reoccurring patterns is helpful. One trend appears clear: marriages mixed by race are easier than those mixed by religion. Skin color and ethnic orientation are more smoothly assimilated, reconciled, compromised, or simply all-embraced, than differences of religious belief. And differences can be severe. Christians believe non-Christians are going to hell and Hindus worship a God with an elephant face, to begin an endless list. One factor helping Indian/Caucasion mixed marriages is that racially, Indians are Caucasians too! Same race, different skin tone.
